Simplified Course Room

This layout introduces the Syllabus as the core component of the learning experience. The functionality provided aims to cover the main use case: Quick access to your learning content, without additional distractions.

At the course room type level, it is now possible to choose a display mode other than the configurable one. The display is a simplified one, with the primary focus on providing easy access to course material.

Choosing the "syllabus only layout" will provide the learner with a clear, structured course room featuring less information, smaller tiles, and attractive pictures on folders. But beware, all settings from the tab in the course room will not be applied, and the functionality is limited to the basics of accessing the course content.

Note: This means no certificate download button, no manual media completion, and no learner-initiated course cancellation or completion.

Hints

  • The "Simplified" course room is typically used for eLearning courses and only displays the course name, course dates, course syllabus component tiles, and a progress indicator. To open a component, click the tile, and it will generally open in the same window.
