Edit
Upon selecting objects (search returns) and using the edit function, one new tab opens per object, similarly to "New", in which an input form provides multiple tabs for editing. When editing structured objects, such as classifications, editing can be performed in the existing tab and for one object at a time.
The number of identifiers and tabs varies by object type and settings.
Edit Structure
Structure trees are used when objects are structured hierarchically or the properties of superordinate elements are inherited by subordinate elements.
Multiple editing options are available in structure trees.
Folders or contents can be created via the "New" icon. Depending on the selection, a dialogue will inquire where to insert the new object (above, below, within the selected object). The appropriate object type will be created according to the selected position. If a new object is created within a main classification, for instance, it will be created as a (sub-) classification rather than a main classification. Whether and how structure nodes can be sorted varies by application.
The toolbar functions "Up" and "Down" allow to move objects up and down within nodes or levels, if appropriate. This can also be accomplished via drag & drop, by selecting the object via mouse and dragging it to the desired position.
Objects can be copied and pasted to other points in the structure with "Edit"/"Copy" and "Edit"/"Paste", or they can be cut and pasted with "Edit"/"Cut" and "Edit"/"Paste". The latter can also be accomplished via drag & drop.
