Configuration Manager - Person Merge Settings
The "Person Merge Settings" menu relates to the User Merge functionality where two user records can be combined into one. Settings here determine whether a merge is to be aborted on conflict of training history (e.g. same course booking), whether personal attributes are to merge and also provide the ability to alter default merge rules.
Settings
Setting | What does the setting do? |

Merge person attributes | When true/ticked the user attributes of the target “into” user remain and only attributes that are empty in the target user are filled by those of the “from” user if populated. If false/unticked there is no merge of attributes and the target “into” user attributes are retained. |
Abort on conflict | When true/ticked the merge will not proceed if the two selected users have history on the same training course, even if enrolment status are different. If false/unticked the merge will continue when the two selected users have history on the same course and rules will be applied based on those in the “Portolio rules” tab. |
Ignore custom rules and use defaults | If ticked the default merge rules will be used instead of the custom rules configured in the “Portfolio rules” tab. The default rules consider the highest enrollment status based on the following order: PASSED> FAILED> STARTED> BOOKED> RESERVED_ON_PARTICIPANT_LIST> WAITING> RESERVED_ON_WAITING_LIST> AGREED> ORDERED> INDIVIDUAL_LEARNING_PLAN> SELECTED> REFUSED> CANCELLED> NULL. |
