3rd-Party Content

"3rd-Party Content" refers to external service providers such as Udemy or Pluralsight and their contents as a media type within the system. To make 3rd-party content available, select the "Import 3rd-Party Content" option from the list and choose a media type already assigned to the desired external content provider. Once selected, the provider's logo will appear on the interface.

The platform acts as a "tool consumer" by accessing external learning content through an external provider. This means that external learning objects, such as courses or learning paths, are not imported during the process; instead, the system represents the metadata in a media object.

An API is then used to establish a direct connection with the provider, allowing you to search for and select content to import. The imported learning content can be used in the system just like manually created content and can be assigned to catalogues or courses.

Further tabs include “Language”, “Meta Tags and Attributes”, and “Default Values”.

Notes

It is important to note that “3rd-Party Content Integrations" does not support content import but offers remote access to content represented by the imc Learning Suite.
