Detailed Course Room

The "Detailed" course rooms are used for training courses that require displaying more information with flexible layouts. On first access the default behavior is the "Description" tab will be displayed that only contains the course description details, but on subsequent opening of the course more detailed "Syllabus" tab will directly open where there can be one to three columns with various information panels.

The "Syllabus" tab is where learning objects are accessible and various supporting course details are displayed like forums, support media in a library, tutors, participants, skills and certifications.

To open a component simply click on the tile in the "Syllabus" and the component will generally open in the same window. When opening a component in detailed course rooms there will some additional navigation items including a "Previous" link to open the previous component and a "Next" link to open the following component in the syllabus. with a back link to return. Further icons that might be seen are an "Add to bookshelf" and a "Conclude content" button for components such as videos and PDFs where the learner confirms the item has been completed.

Hints & Tips

When completing a SCORM Web-based Training (WBT) it"s recommended to always click the "<<Back" button when you reach the end to guarantee results are submitted to the LMS.

Course components can additionally be locked by scheduling or learning logic restrictions in which case information is available explaining how or when processing can occur.
