Multimedia File
A multimedia file may also be a video or audio file. For videos, a differentiation is made between normal quality and HD videos. For example, normal quality video may be used on mobile devices as a result of a slower internet connection and HD videos can be uploaded for desktop PCs. If the video exists directly in the internet, e.g. in YouTube, a URL can be stated for this website or file. An integrated player that can process the following formats is used to play multimedia files: flv, webm, aac, mp4, mp3, ogg.
If the "multimedia file" medium is integrated into courses, etc. the source link or upload is displayed in the course room. Multimedia files in the catalogue and all other split screens are displayed with previews.
A multimedia file can be classified and skills can be added.
The meta tag “Permit multimedia download” (ID=11101) can be used to control whether a multimedia file (video) can be downloaded or not.
