Accessing Job Profiles and Skills

The"Job Profiles and Skills" function is used by many imc LMS customers with competency driven training requirements. Normally Job Profiles are assigned by business rules and the required Skills are attained by completing Courses, Learning Paths or Tasks. However; depending on configuration of the LMS it can be possible for learners to self-assign both Job Profiles and Skills.

Self-assignment of Job Profiles is great with personal development for learners aspiring to build their Skill sets to those of a high level. When self-assigning Job Profiles these would normally be considered a target Job Profile that would typically require Supervisor approval to make official.

Self-assessment of Skills is commonly used in profession development scenarios such as self-assessing a competency framework prior to supervisor assessment or for recording external competencies such as licenses or qualifications.

The "My competencies" function is where the learner can view and possibly self-assess Job Profiles and Skills. Here three separate tabs display a list of assigned "Job profiles" with linked skills, achieved further "Skills" not required by a Job Profile and "Certifications" to maintain such as CPD.
